That’s exactly why I became a certified pet nutritionist. When my own dog needed help, I was met with conflicting advice. My regular vet and a specialist both insisted that prescription kibble was the only answer.
But something in my gut (no pun intended) told me that couldn’t be right. How could a dehydrated, ultra-processed food, that’s heated to oblivion and packed with rancid fats, high phosphorus, and mystery ingredients, really be the best option for a dog with kidney disease? It just didn’t add up.
So I asked questions. When they finally told me to speak with a veterinary nutritionist, the price tag was shocking: $500 for a consult, $400 for a recipe. I didn’t have that money, so I dove in, studied relentlessly, and got certified. What I found were real answers, not just for my own peace of mind, but for other guardians who feel just as lost.
No matter your budget or your dog’s unique needs, I’ll help you find a healthier path that truly works for both of you.
I’m here to guide you every step of the way. It’s easier than you think, and trust me, it’s so worth it! 😊
With firsthand experience navigating my own dog’s health challenges, I Intimately understand the frustration and uncertainty pet guardians face.

that fits your dog’s nutritional needs…and your time and budget!
Formulating a truly balanced meal from only fresh ingredients isn’t easy.
It’s straight-up hard! I’ve done it myself, and it felt like a part-time job. You need a variety of ingredients, extra money, time, and plenty of fridge and freezer space. If you’re up for that, amazing, fasten your seat belt and let’s go! But I also know that, for most of us in today’s busy (and increasingly expensive) world, it’s just not always realistic.
That’s why most of my recipes blend mostly fresh, human-grade ingredients with carefully chosen, trusted products from brands I’ve personally studied, scrutinized, and often connected with directly.
Some of my clients can only afford kibble, trust me, I get it!
For one client, we sat down and reviewed all her dog’s expenses: toys, treats, food etc.
By making some smart, strategic changes, we managed to upgrade to a better, air-dried kibble (way less processed), add a supplement, and use a few healthy herbs and spices from her own kitchen, all while staying within her original kibble budget.
